You made me look

Yes, the full double take

But it wasn’t your face

There was something in your voice

Saying the things unsaid

Just below the surface

There was something - kind of ancient

Like a sojourner walking a path few find

And a heart that’s grown through tragic times

Yes, you made me look

And I heard

Perhaps we can be friends

In this s p a c e

where G r a c e

Gives comfort and healing

and worth

It is not always the way someone looks that draws our attention, sometimes it's something intangible that draws us. When this happens, pay attention. It could be an invitation to pray for them, befriend them, or learn something from them that the Spirit wants to teach you.
