Eyes of Wonder

Updated: Jan 29

When was the last time

You looked into your own eyes - closely?

Capillaries and colours

Forming shapes and shades - like galaxies

Extraordinary intricacy

From smallest atom

To windows - like a vortex -

Into brilliant complexities

How could you not Believe

After looking at such beauty?

Futures dancing in reflections

Like unwrapping a gift

I have not seen any man-kind eyes

That were not filled with wonder I ask you to look more closely At your own And those of others

Perhaps if we all see this way: With loving-kindness and understanding

We’ll take better care of each other We'll walk in the love of our Father

Written: 20 December 2019 Inspired by the theme of looking at ourselves and others from the perspective of kindness and wonder. When you look at someone, what are they reading in your eyes? Will they see love staring back at them? May we continue to look into His eyes, and reflect back what we see in Him.
