Burn Beloved, Burn

Then the day comes and you realise
It has always been about Him loving you and you loving Him
And you decide that if all you have to give is fuel for the fire
Then you will spend your life in flames - pour it all out to burn
Let this inferno point to the One
Who brings wholeness and peace
Become a burning beacon
Reflecting His eyes - full of passion
As He reforms you piece by piece
It has always been about Him loving you and you loving Him
Now burn, Beloved, burn
You’re salted with Fire
Burn brighter and hotter
Till they only see Him
No matter which way you turn.
Some scripture references that inspired this poem:
Mark 9:49
For everyone will be salted with fire.
Hebrews 12:29
For our God is a consuming fire.
1 John 4:7-12
Beloved, let us love one another, for love is from God, and whoever loves has been born of God and knows God. Anyone who does not love does not know God, because God is love. In this the love of God was made manifest among us, that God sent his only Son into the world, so that we might live through him. In this is love, not that we have loved God but that he loved us and sent his Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another. No one has ever seen God; if we love one another, God abides in us and his love is perfected in us.
